Lopen rond de hoogste berg van West Europa. Waarom? Dit ga ik \u00a0proberen met jullie te delen deze weken. Ik heb er lekker lang de tijd voor genomen, om, als er nog geen sneeuw ligt ook wat hogere varianten te kunnen lopen zonder tijdstress en haast. Want nogmaals: de reis is het doel! In verre wildernis is de enige klok de tijdklok van het eten dat je bij je hebt: of doorlopen of \u00a0honger. Ik heb wel wat eten bij me, ontbijten en diners, maar ga t ook aanvullen bij de berghutten waar ik langskom. Dit eten geeft me de vrijheid te kamperen waar ik wil, en te stoppen waar ik wil. Die vrijheid, daar is het me om te doen. Ik ben benieuwd hoe me dat vergaat, of ik die ook k\u00e1n pakken.<\/p>\n<p>Goed, de Mont Blanc dus. 4808 meter hoog, voor het eerst beklommen in 1786, door Balmat en Paccard, waarna altijd is geruzied over wie nou echt de eerste was. Zonder moderne middelen, goede uitrusting of kaart 1;25000 zoals wij hebben, laat staan gps:-)!<\/p>\n<p>Deze week stond in de krant het nieuws dat de berg verkruimelt door de opwarming van de aarde. De permafrost die hem bij elkaar houdt ontdooit, en hele bergwanden verdwijnen in de diepte. De laatste kijkjes in de geschiedenis van de ijstijden verdwijnen, en wij laten t gebeuren. Als ik erover twitter hoor ik: wel positief blijven hoor!<\/p>\n<p>Over de schoonheid van de bergen, wat de natuur met me doet als ik erin wandel, blijf ik positief. Ik hoop er alleen nog heel lang van te genieten, en daar twijfel ik aan. Word ik iemand die op de barricades gaat zoals Greta Thunberg?
